Vertical lift to a residential-complex shelter in Lviv

ASPAR designed, manufactured and installed an external vertical lifting platform for a barrier-free route to a residential-complex shelter. The solution connects the entrance and shelter levels over 2600 mm, using a 1400 × 1100 mm platform.

01

Project task

A residential complex in Lviv needed an accessible route to its shelter for residents with different mobility needs. The difference in levels made the route impossible to use without lifting equipment. The system had to operate outside the building, be straightforward in everyday use and become part of the existing approach to the shelter.

ASPAR’s task was to provide vertical movement without changing the logic of the main pedestrian route. Platform area, precise landing-level alignment and a durable outdoor execution were the key requirements.

02

ASPAR engineering solution

ASPAR implemented a vertical lifting platform with a 1400 × 1100 mm platform and a lifting height of 2600 mm. The platform format provides practical access to the shelter and suits vertical travel between the two route levels.

The structure is made of stainless steel. This choice matches outdoor operating conditions and supports a neat integration of the equipment into the residential environment. The platform, landings and shelter access were treated as one continuous route rather than as a temporary add-on.

03

Manufacturing and installation

ASPAR prepared the equipment to the actual site parameters, manufactured the structure and completed its installation. Before installation, the team coordinated the platform location relative to the entrance, the landing levels and the external access zone.

During installation, the structure was positioned on the planned route, assembled and aligned with the entrance and shelter levels. ASPAR then adjusted the lift and commissioned it for operation.

05

How it works

The user enters the platform at the lower route level and it moves vertically to the shelter entrance level. At the upper landing, the user exits directly onto the continuation of the route. The return journey follows the same sequence: boarding, lifting or lowering, then exit at the required level.

06

Result

The residential complex now has a barrier-free vertical connection to its shelter. The platform removes the critical level difference and allows people for whom stairs are a barrier to use the route. Stainless-steel outdoor construction supports practical on-site use.

FAQ

Why use a vertical platform at a shelter?

It creates an accessible connection between route levels where a height difference prevents independent access to the shelter.

What platform size was used here?

The Lviv residential complex uses a 1400 × 1100 mm platform.

What is the lifting height?

The vertical travel is 2600 mm.

Can this solution be installed outdoors?

Yes. This project is an external vertical platform in stainless-steel execution.

What information is needed for a similar calculation?

Actual levels, available space, use scenario and the requirements of the specific site are needed for engineering and calculation.
