Inclined stair lift providing access to a museum
An inclined stair platform was installed at a museum in Western Ukraine for wheelchair users and persons with reduced mobility. The stair run is 6500 mm long and the equipment is configured for outdoor operation.

TASK
Provide access along the museum’s outdoor staircase
The task was to provide wheelchair access along a straight 6500 mm outdoor stair run while keeping the staircase available to pedestrians.

An inclined platform with rack-and-pinion drive
The platform travels along guide rails installed parallel to the stairs. A variable-frequency drive provides smooth starting and stopping.

RESULT
An installed lift beside the museum entrance
The inclined platform was installed along the outdoor staircase. When folded, the platform occupies minimal space beside the stairs.
