How to Choose a Lift for People with Disabilities
Selection starts with the user's route and the geometry of the site, not with a model number. Establish the level change, available space, travel path, required platform dimensions, installation conditions and power supply. ASPAR can then compare vertical and inclined platform lifts for the specific site.
Define the movement requirement
Identify the levels the user needs to move between and the obstacles along the route. At an entrance, this may be the level change between the pavement and the lobby. On a staircase, the flight geometry, landings and clear passage are important.
A photograph of a similar building is not enough to select the lift type. The same number of steps can involve different geometry, fixing conditions and boarding space.

Assess the approach to the equipment, boarding areas, gate or door movement and the route beyond the platform. Site preparation and installation responsibilities are agreed for the specific project. Electrical requirements come from the selected model documentation.
Verified ASPAR examples
In Kyiv, ASPAR delivered a vertical hydraulic platform for a 550 mm level change with a 1400 by 1100 mm platform. At another site in Kharkiv, two inclined platforms supported a route along a staircase within a narrow stairwell. These cases show different constraints and are not universal templates.
Certification and building compliance
