When equipment is chosen solely for the lowest price, the quotation can hide costs that may arise later: reworking assemblies, reinstalling equipment and downtime. Apparent savings on quality can turn into additional expense. This is a risk of that approach, not a claim that these costs have already occurred at the site shown.

Look at what may be hidden behind “cheaper”

The photographs below show a third-party lift, not ASPAR equipment. We present them as examples of manufacturing and assembly shortcomings that should not be excused by a lower price or a promise to “finish it later”. The photographs were taken during installation, but the stage of work does not explain or justify the workmanship of these assemblies.

The close-ups show uneven build-up around a joint, gaps between components and uneven edges. These are specific aspects of workmanship that a customer should examine. Joint strength, compliance with the structural calculation and the operation of protective systems require separate assessment, rather than an overall impression from a photograph.

Paint does not correct a structure

Not every shortcoming can be corrected by final finishing. If the problem involves the structure or connections, an assembly may need to be reworked. The scope is determined by technical assessment. A promise to “cover it with cladding” does not replace addressing the cause.

Additional work may involve dismantling, making components again, another installation visit and a period when the equipment cannot be used. Compare the total cost of a functioning solution and responsibility for the result, rather than only the initial figure in a quotation.

Electrical cabinet: workmanship and checks both matter

An open cabinet during installation does not by itself prove a malfunction. However, the quality of its layout and connections deserves attention. A qualified specialist establishes button voltage, insulation condition and protective earthing through the circuit documentation and measurements. Customers need documented test results, rather than only assurances that “everything works”.

Compare with actual ASPAR projects

Here are our lifts for a school in Chernihiv and a shelter in Romny. The photographs show the structure, guarding, deck, cladding and controls, with links to the project descriptions. Ask us the same questions about workmanship, documentation and checks. An overall photograph is not a structural or electrical safety test.

What to record before ordering

  • Load, height, platform and operating conditions for the same task.
  • Materials and configuration: guarding, controls and specified protective devices.
  • The scope of delivery, installation, connection and site preparation.
  • Documentation, checks, warranty terms and service.
  • Who corrects identified shortcomings, how they do so and who is responsible for the result.

Ask for the specific configuration and scope of work in the quotation. Without them, identical totals do not necessarily mean identical results.

Frequently asked questions

Does a lower price always mean lower quality?

No. Price alone does not prove that. Compare the same task, workmanship, configuration, checks and responsibility.

Can everything be corrected before acceptance?

Finishing is not always enough. An assembly may need reworking; technical assessment determines the scope and feasibility of correction.

Do these photographs prove that the lift is unsafe?

The photographs show visible shortcomings in workmanship. A technical conclusion about strength, electrical safety and suitability for operation requires inspection, documentation and appropriate checks.

“Others are cheaper” is a reason to compare quotations more closely. Save on what you do not need, but do not accept shortcomings as normal. Contact ASPAR for a quotation tailored to your task and a clear explanation of what the solution includes.
