Inclined lift to a children’s development centre shelter
ASPAR manufactured and installed an inclined platform lift along the stairs to the shelter of a children’s development centre in Peremoha, Chernihiv Oblast. The solution creates a continuous route to the protective space for wheelchair users and other people with limited mobility.

Provide an accessible route down to the shelter
The stairs to the protective space created a barrier for wheelchair users and visitors who need mobility assistance. The lift had to be integrated into the existing stair route of the children’s development centre.
A platform travelling along the stair flight
ASPAR manufactured and installed an inclined platform lift. Its guide system follows the stairs, enabling a user to reach shelter level without a separate vertical shaft.
The lift configuration was adapted to the actual geometry of the stair flight, landings and boarding zones.
The site was visited by the First Lady of Ukraine
During a working visit to Chernihiv Oblast, the site was inspected by First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska. The Olena Zelenska Foundation reported that she and the Foundation team visited four restored shelters at schools and kindergartens in the region and highlighted their barrier-free design.
A barrier-free route to the protective space
The children’s development centre received a dedicated solution for overcoming the shelter stairs. The lift forms part of the accessible route to the safe space.
Lifts for shelters and stair routes
The configuration is selected after measuring the stairs and landings and checking the installation conditions.
